Ujala Pathways

Ujala is the Urdu word for light. As it is in the light that change is possible and hope can thrive.

My aim is to promote hope and encourage authentic change within you.

Values

Ujala Pathways is based on these values

Care

'From care comes courage' Lao Tzu.

I aim to be attuned and relational. Offering care without conditions, and empowering you embody courage and hope.

Change is possible when safety is embodied within your body, your self and within the space. I aim for the space to be safe for you at all times.

Safety

Ujala is rooted in the values of anti-oppression and anti-racism. This means understanding how structural and systemic harm can impact you individually. It also making space for the harm and naming it clearly. Cultural and community knowledge is given equal value as Western knowledge, with approaches and methods being adapted to your personal and cultural needs.

Authenticity

Acceptance of self allows change to occur. It paves the path forward. I strive to bring my authentic self, be relational and attuned with you. Being open about my approach and my limitations.

Inclusivity

'In diversity there is beauty and there is strength' Maya Angelou.

There is beauty present in all your parts and identities, such as your sexuality, gender, race and disability. We welcomes all of you, and are committed to ensuring that the space is adapted for you needs and lived experience.
